Flight track and Aircraft Noise Monitoring system FANOMOS consists of two main components:
-
process consists of digitised aircraft positions registered by a radar (“radar data”).
+
* Fanomos Input Processor: this component is responsible for the collecting and processing of raw radar data into flight tracks.
-
FANOMOS only processes radar data containing SSR identification and position co-ordinates.
+
* Fanomos Analysis Processor: this component is the front-end to the user. It offers a web based client where the user can query for flights and analyse the selected flights.

Reconstructed flight tracks are stored in the database.
