Since 1982 FANOMOS has been operational at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. A first upgrade, including new flight track reconstruction functionality, was realised in 1990. In 1996 a third generation of the data processing part of FANOMOS was realised, as the result of the so-called FANOMOS Mid-Life Update (MLU) project.
